Stefanie Penck to become Managing Director

Augsburg, 01/24/2024 – Strong focus on the book and media market: In January, experienced publishing expert Stefanie Penck was appointed to the management board of Weltbild Germany and the Weltbild branches. The art history graduate is now responsible for category management and marketing at Weltbild. She will also remain Managing Director of the international art and photography publisher teNeues, which, like Weltbild, is also part of the Weltbild D2C Group. Before joining teNeues, Stefanie Penck was Publishing Director at Kunth Verlag in Munich and was previously responsible for the Marco Polo division at MairDumont.

“We are delighted that Stefanie Penck will continue to develop Weltbild as a book and media brand with her expertise and passion for books,” emphasizes Christian Sailer, CEO of the Weltbild D2C Group. In addition to close cooperation with partners from the publishing world for its own multi-channel sales channels, this includes in particular strengthening the Weltbild range with its own book editions. The Group also intends to invest in the publishing sector through acquisitions, emphasizes Christian Sailer.
